Dear Clay

Due to massive amounts of e-mail recieved daily and limited space, I am now going to have to read through all the e-mails for Clay and only post selected ones. I'm sorry I can't put each and every e-mail on-line, but I do have limited space. The requirements for the "Dear Clay" letters are:
1)
The subject of the e-mail MUST say Dear Clay
2)
The e-mail must be more than a couple sentences, but also not too long, unless for important reasons [Wanting him to e-mail you or write you a letter because you are a big fan does not count.]. One paragraph is a good size.
3)
Your name and/or e-mail address must be at the end of the e-mail, seeing how there is no point posting an e-mail if the author is unknown.
Again, sorry for the restrictions, but I don't have a choice. If your letter fits the requirements, fee free to e-mail me at adorkable1169@yahoo.com to post your letter! I cannot guarentee that he'll ever actually see them, but you can always try!!

Note: Not Clay's E-mail address

Hello,
I can only hope this makes it through the millions of letters that must be coming in. So, I'll be very brief. I know this is not the right place to be, but I cannot find any other way to get a message directly to Clay or his family regarding the kid’s cancer camp I work with. I saw Clay's interview the other night. I am a director for a kid’s cancer camp that takes place outside of Charleston, SC, and have decided that I need to try an catch up with Idol-mania to meet the expectations of the kids at camp this year. This year (June 28-July 5) we will have roughly 230 kids attending (of all races; all types of cancer; ages 4-17). Many suffer badly and work hard to push beyond the pain of surgeries and treatments and have apparently been making this American Idol thing part of their anchor. They ALL know her from American Idol and now, Clay. He is from the South like many of them (about 4 hours from the camp), and from a very humble life, as are most of the kids at camp. In short - I simply can't think of a more powerful influence for these kids, at this moment, than for them to hear him speak to them, encourage them and give them the will to continue fighting beyond their various and many challenges. His interest and work with children in distressed situations would go a very, very long way if he could spend even a couple of hours with them. I realize that I am probably shooting in the dark here, since this is probably like trying to get the President of the U.S. to show up. And I am certain that I have not phrased my thoughts very well. But I want to give this a shot. I don't know what it takes to get him to go somewhere, or how much we would have to raise to pay him, or the flights that would have to be scheduled, etc. But I will do whatever it takes. Whatever it takes. These kids need to hear him, see him, laugh with him and learn from him. And. . .if he wanted to sing and dance a song or two, I'll arrange whatever I need to arrange for sound system and lights.

Clay,
I have enjoyed your entertainment.  You have such a natural talent.  The best compliment I can think of giving you is . . . you are an entertainer that is great enough to entertain entertainers.
Thank you for sharing your talent with the world.

Dear Clay,
U r the best singer i have ever heard!!!!!! I need some advice. I want to be a singer like u. There is only 1 problem i have a little bit of stage fright. I am not really scared of the crowd i am scared that they won't like me. what should i do??????I have been wanting to preform forever but i never had the guts to sing at talent shows and all that. Some of my friends caught me singing in my mirror one day and they asked if i had the radio on but i told them it was me. They did not belive it was me at first but then i sang and they were shocked and they said i should enter the talent show coming up but i didn't cause i was scared. I won't even let my parents hear me sing. The only person i am comfertable singing in front of is my sister Katy and Michelle on of my best friends. So will u give me some advice. Well good luck in the show u rock!!!!

Dear Clay,
I doubt that this letter will be read out of the millions of letters that must be sent in to you everyday. Your music, your voice, everything about you has influenced me and really touched me. And I don't know what everyone is saying when they say that obviously American Idol isn't about looks, because you are so cute!!! I love you Clay!!! I can't wait to see you at the American Idol tour in July- I'll be there!

The 1st time I heard your voice was good enough to make you my idol.. my best friend never had interest in english singers, but once she heard your voice, it was as though it changed her totally.. every comment from you fans, or even people who are not your fans, would be that you are a very talented man and you have am AMAZING voice.. I'll never forgot what you did to us. This brought upon a major change in everyone's view of singing. I can tell you, even if you did not win, the world will be on your side. Thank you for sharing your wonderful voice with the world.  Thank you for giving the world a sense of hope. I can tell you, you surely did a great job. Keep that up Clay.

Dear Clay,

I just LOVE your voice! And despite what other people say...I think you're ADORABLE! I'm STILL flabbergasted that you didn't win!! (I tried to sound smart and mature using that big word, but I'm only 15...so i guess it didn't exactly help.) I don't want to sound like a compeletly phychotic, stalker fan...but i have SOOO many questions. You might not even get this, but it's worth a try! So, if you DO get this...could you e-mail me back? It would make my day! I know you are probally REALLY busy, so I would understand why you wouldn't have a lot of time on your hands, but anyways....i'm just rambling now! Bye!!

I am writing from Paradise, Newfoundland Canada.  You probably have never heard of my province, but we do exist and believe me most of us here love watching American Idol every Tuesday and Wednesday night. I wouldn't miss it.  My little 3 year old boy watches as well and cheers Clay! Clay! Clay! whenever you come on stage.  We think you are just a great performer "and cute too".  Best of luck.  We hope you win!!!!  We will be watching!

Sweetest Clay,
I never watched the first AI. My roommate is the one who made me sit down and watch this one...and now I am hooked....hooked because of you. I have watched you emerge from a scared young man (with an amazing voice) performing with such a look of fear in his eyes, into this beautiful, confident, yet humble performer. I have agreed with Simon in his criticism regarding your "theatrical" demeanor, as I, myself, have performed on stage most of MY life, however, it is apparant that you have worked on that as well as your image (to become more "POP"- like) as the show has progressed. You've come a long way Sweetie.  When I sat down to watch the results this past wednesday, I had tissues with me...JUST in case...(I never expected Ruben to be in the bottom 2 the week before, so I didn't know WHAT to expect). I ended up screaming and crying in hearing that you were safe. I was holding my breath right along with you.
I also want to thank you for your talent. I love to just sit and listen to you sing, and look forward to hearing from you in the industry, somehow, someway, no matter what happens. Thank you for sharing yourself, your angelic voice, and beautiful sultry eyes with America.  No matter what "they" say you need to do on the outside Clay, never change who you are on the inside. You are a wonderful, sensitive, person with a true passion for what you believe in. Never let anyone shake up your confidence in who you are .   We love you very very much!!!!!

Clay,

Hi! My name is Terri, and I'm writing to you from Spokane, WA.  I am not one to write to people who are famous and/or are in the public eye, but you are the exception.

I am so impressed with not only your fantastic voice, but your sweet, giving, and loving soul that you give us every time you perform.  They say the eyes are the mirror of the soul, and yours truly show the man inside.

I watch AI every week and honestly feel you are the most talented and I believe you will win this competition.  I can't wait for your first CD, and I just can't enough of your voice!

I just wanted to share my thoughts with you!  Would love to hear from you!  wabratling@comcast.net  Write me if you can!  I know you are one busy guy! lol!

Hugs,

Terri

Clay,
You are awesome. I love watching you perform! Even though your chance of reading this letter is skim I still would like to write you just in case you do see it. Just so you know I have been a fan for you ever since the begining. I fell in love with you sang "This is the Night", but even before then,I knew you where special. You have amazing talent that actually moves people. When you get up there and perform you captivate people and they can't take their eyes off you. I am behind you 110% and hope your CD ranks #1 everywhere, and I also hope you get a nice long relaxing vacation with your family soon.

Hey My name is Meghan and I absolutly love the sound of your voice! I always get chills when I hear you every week. I had to buy the American Idol All time Classic Love songs CD cause you were on it. I listen to it while I fall asleep. I put it on your song(On the Wings of Love) and then push repeat. I wanted you to know that when I am 18 I am going to Audition for American Idol and when they ask me who my idol is I am going to say "Clay Aiken" because he never looked like a pop star but he had the voice and the faith and everytime I audition for something I think of you and that thats the position I want to be in one day. You always have confidence. In the beginning I never saw you audition but my mom told me to watch you one week and I was hooked. I love your version of "Build Me Up Buttercup" and I absolutely loved the hip thing. My mom wanted to know if she could bring you home and keep you as some kind of pet. My step-dad said that because there was a 10 year difference between me and you that it was a bad idea. I thought it would be so cool. You know we have alot in common. I never notice it when I embarass myself cause I do it so often. I heard you were allergic to chocalote. I can't live with out it. I also can't beleive you don't like swimming. Are you afraid you will drown? Well I have written alot and don't want to take up anymore time so if you could be so kind and write me at da_ditzyest_blond_ull_ever_no@yahoo.com  would love to hear more about you please.
Love Always Meghan Dallas, Texas.

Clay,

My husband and I feel that you should definitely be The American Idol.  You have a wonderful voice and I could definitely listening to records by you and go to see you in a concert.

We're rooting for you to win and have voted for you.  We're especially proud of you for the education and profession you have chosen.  My husband was a music teacher in the elementary schools for 30 years.  He had
classes with special needs children and he enjoyed them.  These kids need someone like you interested in them.  As you probably know, they enjoy music and I know they would love to have you sing to them as well as teach them.

Good luck, Clay, an American Idol!

Everytime I hear you sing you just make me melt! When you sang "Unchained Melody" I almost cried it was so good! Thank you for sharing your amazing talent and personality with the world! I <3 U CLAY! I have a stepdaughter in the North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset, NY who thinks you are wonderful.  She has asked me to get her a T-shirt, but I am having trouble finding one for her.  Can you point me in the right direction.  I live and work in the Raleigh area.

Time is of the essence, as she has advanced Cancer and not much time left.  I need a XXL for her.  If you are going to be in NY in the near, near future, I am sure a personal appearance rather than a tshirt will work also.

Dear Clay,
I really enjoyed you sing a lot of songs because you had a super, strong voice and you were so marvelous as well as Kelly Clarkson was. Now I'm so worried and afraid that you will lose the competition because of Ruben Studdard. If you win, you will be the next American Idol, and if I audition for the next season, I will be able to make it, then in the future, maybe one day I'll be the next American Idol and you can judge me to see if I did great.

Hi Clay, I just want to say that even if you don't win american idol, a christian music producer will pick you up! I've liked you ever since I found out how strong of a christian you are. Your personality really shines through and it's obvious God is using you. Keep it up!

Dear Clay,
I hope you can see this letter soon. I am rooting for you all the way. I never watched American Idol before you came on the show. I barely even heard of Kelly Clarkson until my friend Ryan told me about her. I was bored one day so I turned American Idol on, and from then on, I have been watching it every week. I always vote for you a number of times, and I always will. I even have a friend from South America, Lara, who is also voting for her, or should I say praying that you win cause I don't think she can actually vote where she is. I also sent you a letter in the mail. I hope you get it!
One of your many devoted fans,
Scarlett O'Neil
P.S. Do you know that you are only 16 days older than my brother?

I sure hope you see this.  I wish you would record maybe a single of the entire song "Grease".  I have downloaded that song onto the hard drive and a CD and I listen to it all the time.  Please think about recording the hold song on a CD.  If you do PLEASE PLEASE let me know because I really would like to have it.  Do you know if you will ever have copies of your first CD again?  Several of us would like to know if you would consider recording a Christian CD.  We think you really have the voice for Christian song.  Please let me know about that too.  Your favorite fan always,  Linda

I am totally in love with your voice.  I think it all began when you sang that Elton John song, "Don't Let the Sun Come Down on Me".  (I think that is what it is called)  I am a big Elton John fan, and do I dare say it, you sounded better than him when you sang that song!  Oh my Lord, I have to hear it daily and I download you singing it on my computer and have to listen to it all the time!  You have proven that you can handle any kind of song that comes your way.  Despite what Simon says, I loved your Grease moves on the Bee Gees night.  When you sing, I get get chills and I will be so upset if you don't win, because you should!  Even my kids watch you with me and my 2 year old daughter yelled to me one day, "mommy, mommy" and when I turned and looked at her, she was pointing to your picture on the cover of People magazine!! Thank goodness my husband is understanding of my Clay obsession!!  I am truly going to miss seeing you every week when AI is over, so you better make plenty of CDs that I can listen to when  you WIN!!
Best of luck, honey.  You certainly are one of the most talented and mesmorizing people that I have ever watched perform!
Candace in CT.

Clay, I just want to start by saying how we at ~Adorkable~ all love you.  That's pretty much been obvious for the past...um...however long you've been on American Idol.  All of my friends at school and I think you deserve to win much more than Ruben and we wish you the best whether you do win or not.  What am I saying?!  Of course you're gonna win!!

Well, anyway, I love you, Clay
Your voice is angelic,
as is your smile
Keep singin' your best!  And never give up!

Hi Clay,

I never had any interest in watching “American Idol” till you came along, and now I hate to see it end!  You are incredibly talented, but that is not the best part of Clay Aiken…

Your positive attitude and compassion for others shines through and makes you a true Star!  I love to watch you interact with the other contestants and the smile on your mother’s face as she watches you in the audience.

I have also read about your work with disabled children.  My friend in Charlotte said you once worked at the school which her grandson, Dustin, attends.  She and Dustin delight in watching you perform on tv.  Obviously you have touched the hearts of many people!

I  hope you will always stay the unspoiled and beautiful person you are today.  There's no doubt we'll all be hearing much more from you you when “Idol” is over!  Good Luck!

Dearest Clay,

I don't know that you will ever see this letter  but it doesn't really matter, I feel like proclaiming my admiration for you. I never watched AI before I heard you sing. My roommate was watching the show, and I happened to be there. I wasn't really paying attention and then you opened your mouth and started to sing, and it just moved me. From that day I started to watch and eventually I strived to learn more about you. The more I watched and learned about you the more I became enticed by your personality. Your occupation for staters is truly amazing. And I command you on being yourself, you have this light about you that just makes you glow. Can't tell you how long it has been since I've seen an entertainer whose personality was this great. You are certainly not second in my book and I KNOW that you have even greater things in your future. Keep up the great work!!!

with God's love and mine,

Dear Clayton,
Here's to hoping you find it cool to see what people have to say about you. I feel that i am a little to old to be doing things such as this as I am 26 on saturday, june 28. I just wanted you to know that if it wasn't for you, i probably wouldn't have even watched American Idol. You seem like the most welll rounded young man i have ever seen. You have amazing morals and care about others more than you seem to care about yourself. Which is something I've learned is hard to find in a guy these days. Anyway, If you ever happen to come to Winnipeg Manitoba, email me. Kristybree@hotmail.com  One of my best friends works at the St. Amant center here, a centre for I believe not only children with disabilites but adults as well.  I can't say exactly what she does but she is in behavior therapy and has worked with Austic children as well. We would welcome you here in Friendly Manitoba.  Hope to hear from you one way or another.  Take care.   kristyn

Hey there Clay!
Yeah, this is probably one of those millions of messages that may not get on the site...  But getting straight to the point.. You're music career may not of taken off on a good start with your first audition for American Idol. But it's good to hear you never let that stop you. Your physical appearence shouldn't matter much at all, it's who you inside that really counts. Your voice changed the world and brightened all the hearts throughout every continent of this planet. You've got such talent and high self-esteem from such a merky past. I'm glad to see such things are changing around for ya Clay! No matter what happens, don't let anything pull you down. You and Ruben are also like 2 peas in a pod, it seems like nothing can pull you 2 apart. Competition with your friends may be hard but it's great to see that never got in your way and you pulled through it all. Good luck in your future and hope to meet you sometime! Love ya Clay!

Anyway, I thick you're amazing and your music has touched me so deeply  that I can't describe exactly how much it  has. Also, a couple of weeks ago, my family started a struggle we're still going through and your music was and still is therapy for me. Thanks so so much for your beautiful  voice and  your compaction.
